TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE, USE AND LIABILITY WAIVER
SØNA
ARTICLE 1 – SCOPE
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Services (hereinafter the “Terms”) apply, without restriction or reservation, to all Services sold on-site or via the website
www.sonaexperience.com (hereinafter the “Site”), operated by SØNA, whose registered office is located at Zone de Pédebert, 134 Impasse des Rémouleurs, 40150 Soorts-Hossegor, registered with the Bayonne Trade and Companies Register under number 998992275 (hereinafter the “Studio”), to any customer (hereinafter the “Client”).
These Terms define the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the sale and use of the Services offered by SØNA.
Any booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms.
ARTICLE 2 – PRE-CONTRACTUAL INFORMATION
The Client acknowledges having received, prior to booking:
- the essential characteristics of the Services
- pricing and payment terms
- cancellation conditions information relating to the identity of the Studio
- This information is available on the Site and/or provided at the Studio.
ARTICLE 3 – DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
SØNA offers wellness services incluing:
- sauna access
- ice bath access
- hot/cold contrast experiences
-individual or shared sessions
-session packs
-memberships
-private hire
Services are described as accurately as possible. However, the Studio cannot be held liable for any errors or omissions.
SØNA may also sell complementary products such as beverages, wellness items and branded merchandise.
ARTICLE 4 – ACCESS CONDITIONS AND HOUSE RULES
Access to the Services is subject to compliance with the following:
Sessions start and end at the scheduled time.
Clients may arrive at any time during their session, without modification to the original schedule.
As a result:
- sessions started late by the Client will not be extended
- no refund or rescheduling will be granted
The Client agrees to:
- follow safety instructions
- behave respectfully towards other clients and staff
- use the facilities responsibly
The Studio reserves the right to refuse access or remove any Client who fails to comply with these rules, without refund.
ARTICLE 5 – ORDER FORMATION
5.1 Conditions
The Client must be at least 18 years old and legally capable.
By booking, the Client confirms:
- they are in good physical condition
- they have no known contraindications
-they have read the health and safety rules
5.2 Payment and validation
Booking validation and payment constitute:
- acceptance of these Terms
- immediate payment obligation
ARTICLE 6 – PRICING
Single sessions
60-minute session: €16
Packs 5-session pack: €75 – valid 3 months
10-session pack: €140 – valid 6 months
Memberships Up to 7 sessions per week
Minimum commitment: 6 or 12 months
Prices are in euros, including VAT.
The Studio reserves the right to modify prices at any time.
ARTICLE 7 – PRODUCT SALES
SØNA may sell beverages, wellness products and merchandise. Products are subject to availability. Food and beverages are non-refundable, except in the case of proven defect. Other products are non-refundable unless defective or non-compliant.
ARTICLE 8 – PAYMENT TERMS
Payment is required at the time of booking:
- online (card, direct debit)
-on-site (cash, card)
Access may be refused in case of non-payment.
ARTICLE 9 – CANCELLATION, ABSENCE AND MEMBERSHIPS
Bookings must be cancelled at least
12 hours in advance.
Failing this:
-the session is due
- no refund will be issued
Memberships (binding commitment)
Memberships are entered into for a fixed period of
6 or 12 months.
👉 No early termination is permitted during the commitment period.
The Client agrees to pay all instalments due until the end of the term.
Exceptions (force majeure only)
Early suspension or termination may be granted in exceptional cases:
- medical incapacity (with proof)
-relocation or professional transfer
SØNA reserves the right to accept or refuse such requests.
ARTICLE 10 – RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
In accordance with applicable law, the Client has 14 days to exercise their right of withdrawal.
However, if the Service has been performed before this period with the Client’s consent, this right is waived.
ARTICLE 11 – HEALTH CONDITIONS
Use of the facilities is restricted to individuals in good physical condition.
The Client acknowledges:
- they are able to withstand extreme temperature variations
- they use the facilities at their own risk
ARTICLE 12 – CONTRAINDICATIONS
Use is not recommended in cases of:
- pregnancy
- heart conditions
- high blood pressure
- respiratory conditions
- epilepsy
- alcohol or substance use
Medical advice is recommended if in doubt.
ARTICLE 13 – USAGE RULES
Sauna
- 10–20 minutes recommended
-hydration required
Ice bath
- 1–5 minutes recommended
- gradual immersion
Contrast
- allow recovery time
- listen to your body
ARTICLE 14 – HYGIENE AND CONDUCT
- shower required before use
- towel required
- swimwear required
- respect others
-no dangerous behaviour
ARTICLE 15 – LIABILITY WAIVER
The Client acknowledges that:
- the activities involve risks
- they include exposure to extreme temperatures
The Client uses the facilities at their own risk.
SØNA shall not be held liable for:
- illness
- injury
- accidents
- worsening of a pre-existing condition
ARTICLE 16 – PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings.
The Studio accepts no liability for loss or theft.
ARTICLE 17 – PERSONAL DATA
Data is processed in accordance with GDPR.

ARTICLE 19 – GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by French law.
Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Bayonne.

(Sauna & Ice Bath)
1. Access Conditions
Use of the facilities (sauna and ice bath) is reserved for individuals in good physical condition.
By accessing the studio, you confirm that:
- You are fit to engage in activities involving extreme heat and cold
- You have no known medical contraindications
- You use the facilities under your full responsibility
- You are 18 years or older
2. Medical Contraindications
Use is strongly discouraged in the following cases:
- Pregnancy
- Heart conditions or unstable blood pressure
- Severe respiratory conditions
- Epilepsy
- Unstable chronic illnesses
- Alcohol or substance use affecting awareness
If in doubt, consult a medical professional before use.
3. Sauna Use
- For your safety: Limit sessions to
10–20 minutes
- Stay hydrated before, during, and after
- Exit immediately if you feel unwell (dizziness, nausea, palpitations)
- Do not touch heating elements
4. Ice Bath Use
Ice bath use requires particular attention:
- Recommended duration:
1–5 minutes
- Enter gradually (avoid sudden immersion)
- Listen to your body and exit if uncomfortable
- Not recommended for beginners without gradual adaptation
5. Hot / Cold Contrast
Contrast therapy should be practiced with care:
- Allow recovery time between sessions
- Never force your body
- Adjust intensity to your experience level
6. Hygiene & Respect
For everyone’s comfort:
- Shower before use
- Use a towel in the sauna
- Respect the calm and space of others
- No running or diving
7. Responsibility
The studio declines all responsibility in cases of:
- improper use of facilities
- failure to follow safety instructions
-undisclosed pre-existing health conditions
- Users acknowledge practicing these activities with full awareness of the risks associated with heat and cold exposure.
8. Client Commitment
By booking or using the facilities, you confirm that:
- You have read these guidelines
- You accept the risks involved
- You agree to follow all instructions

GENERAL TERMS OF USE – SØNA
Access to SØNA’s facilities is subject to compliance with the following rules:
Sessions start and end at the scheduled time.
Clients may arrive at any time during their session, with no extension possible.
The Client agrees to:
- follow safety instructions
- behave respectfully towards others and staff
- use the facilities responsibly
Conditions of use:
- shower required before use
- towel required in the sauna
- swimwear required
- no running, diving, or dangerous behaviour
- no access under the influence of alcohol or substances
The Client acknowledges that:
- the use of sauna and ice bath involves risks
- they are responsible for their own health and use of the facilities
SØNA reserves the right to refuse access or exclude any Client who does not comply with these rules, without refund.
LIABILITY WAIVER – SØNA
By booking and participating in a session at SØNA, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
- I confirm that I am at least 18 years old.
1. Physical Condition
I declare that I am in good physical condition and fit to engage in activities involving exposure to extreme temperatures, including sauna and ice bath use. I confirm that I have no known medical contraindications.
2. Awareness of Risks
I understand that sauna and ice bath use involve risks, including:
- dizziness
- fainting
- loss of consciousness
- thermal shock
- I acknowledge that I engage in these activities with full awareness of these risks.
3. Personal Responsibility
I agree to:
- listen to my body
- respect my limits
- exit immediately in case of discomfort
4. Waiver I declare that I use SØNA’s facilities at my own risk.
Accordingly, I release SØNA, its directors and staff from any liability in the event of:
- injury
- accident
- illness
- worsening of a health condition
except in cases of gross negligence or intentional fault.
5. Agreement
I confirm that I have read and understood this liability waiver. I accept it without reservation.
